[H2O]^3toomanytribbles.blogspot.com the water cube in preparation for the 2008 beijing olympics i had the opportunity to attend the good luck beijing 2008 swimming china open at the newly unveiled watercube (that is, the national aquatics center) right next to the bird's nest (or the national stadium) at the olympic green. the general area is still under construction as the rush is on for the final stretch of preparation, but the building itself is very impressive and i had a ball taking pictures and enjoying the competition. i arrived at twilight and the combination of sky and the building made everything so blue! then, while i was leaving, i noticed that if i blink my eyes really fast, the blue alternates with a shade of violet/red. coooool..... good luck beijing! the music is 'forbidden dreams' by yannis.

It still uses a bottle to house the K1 but also uses 20mm pipe, foam and heater clips/suckers to ensure that the water will be mechanically filtered (foam) as well as biologically filtered (moving K1 media). This will be perfect for breeding tanks as fry can feed from the foam and the K1 can cope with a high feeding regime - all run from a small air pump! This should be the only filter you will need in an aquarium and since you should have an air pump anyway, the running costs of a traditional internal filter can be taken out of the electricity costing. Perfect for a fish house with multiple tanks, instead of having either a sponge filter or internal filter, a combined moving bed filter can be installed in each tank to totally filter the water - all run by one air pump.
