That's probably why it's such an ideas rush, I just wanted to get down all of the ideas I had stored up in my sketchbooks. It's been a pretty powerful 13 seconds having, been disqualified from MTV Uload final selection for being too lude; winning me a commission from Warner Entertainment and been shown on Spanish television. Even though it's so short I still think it's one of my best animations. Although, it ought to be, it took long enough - about 2 months! hand-drawn hologramsSee amasci.com Scratch-holograms can be made upon CD/DVD cases or other soft plastic using a couple of thumbtacks poked through a stick. Or get fancy and use a professional compass and black-painted polycarbonate plates. Or automate the process with a paperclip stuck into a motorized electric eraser, or a CNC mill with a drag-engraving tool. For lots of hints, see amasci.com Best is to use a good $10 compass, soft plastic that's slightly greasy, and replace the extremely sharp compass needle with a small finishing nail. Clear plastic works fine, or place some dark paper behind it. Are these genuine holograms? Abrasion holography or "Chatoyant holograms" employ the same physics as white-light or "rainbow" holograms invented by Benton at MIT. Benton holograms reflect light from a point source, and they do not require any interference pattern. This is why a Rainbow Hologram functions the same under any wavelength of illumination. The fringes of Benton holograms can have any spacing: even spacings much wider than wavelengths of light. Said another way: if the holograms on your credit cards are genuine holograms, then also "Scratch-holograms" must be genuine holograms. See amasci.com . menstrual cyclemeant to be viewed as a loop. this only repeats once but, in real life, it's more like 12 times a year. 30 frame hand drawn loop was the assignment (this is more like 36 though) and it just reminded me of my own personal 28 day cycle. enjoy it. i like the meat background personally, i feel it makes it. hand drawn, scanned, colored in photoshop, animated with aftereffects.
