NORDBERG SKOLE ER BEST!
Like your dad.I too saw BG in that wonderful era and it's a thrill Icherish to this day.PS I'm sure your dad was/is a great guy.
This was THE man - I saw him at Snape Maltings playing classical music many years ago and it was a fabulous as this. He was class and only two other clarintettists could touch him namely Buster Bailey and Joe Dixon. Treeemendous !
I adore this version!
Jazz is the foundation of blues and modern techno music without music like this we wouldn't have such inspirations like Michael Jackson and Kurt Cobain etc
His forties band was also a great band with numbers like this and - Mission to Moscow really gets your feet tappin'.
Love it and thank you so much for posting if for all of us. My dad, Bill Rosenberg,
saw him in person back in the 30's and 40's. When my dad was in Caifornia, her perdicted that this man would become a legend. He told me that in NY or New Jersey that Benny Goodman was in one theater and down the street was Artie Shaw.
To be able to dance with my precious father one more time.
Happy New Year.
