5. Well said that religion is a belief, not the truth. religion is not the way of life, neither the way to God. religion is to imprison the mind to those who are ignorant of the Word of God. God is not religion. "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." Humans made God religious. Jesus came to testify truth to the world that there is only One God, and that God is only to be worshipped. Not Allah, Buddha, or other false gods.

9. I didn't become a believer until I was 21 yrs old, though I always knew in my heart there was a God. My family did not raise me 2 B a Christian. My dad believed in evolution, though he didn't necessarily disbelieve entirely in God. The way I see it, there is all kinds of evidence that God exists. I could never believe the marvelous and intricately complex works of creation came into being spontaneously on their own, no matter how long TOE says it took. ID only makes sense 2 me.
10. Religion is a believe, not the truth. Just like i used to believe in Santa. My parents told me it was true so it must be true. I was young and gullible and believed it even if it was quite unlikely to be true. Just because an old book and your parents scared you with threats of hell and promises of heaven and salvation, does not mean it's the truth. I understand that you really want it to be true. But let's be honest. There is no evidence to support it. It's time to open your eyes and be free!

14. Good point, JOS! It IS a common misconception that if we do enough good works, that will somehow outweigh our bad works and we will then be worthy of heaven. Jesus alone is worthy. It's only by God's grace that we are partakers of His worthiness. "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these we might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." 2 Peter 1:4
15. We are saved through Jesus alone and not by our works. We are not saved by Jesus and our works. Jesus has paid the full price for our sins for all who trust in hIm alone for their own Salvation. Many people think that they can get to Heaven by doing good works .

Here's a scripture song I put together in 2004 that is made up of two verses from Proverbs that are almost identical. Usually if something is repeated in scripture, it's indicative of something one ought to pay particular heed to. That's why I chose to put these two verses to music. Hope it ministers to someone.
