8. Thank you for the clip - Chur Chur will rise above it all, it may take 30,000 porta loos and alot of dusting but it will happen - the quake was very scary and town will never look the same again, after living here for 40 years it is so sad to see.

It is hard to live now knowing my city that I live in is no longer the same as of 22/02/2011 when a 6.3 5km deep earthquake struck our city it was shocking it took me about an hour and a half to get two blocks from my home to the school my son go to thinking I was not going to make it there where lumps and bump and hols all over the flooding was all over. We will rebuild but we will never be the same.

The video begins at the Christchurch Gondola which is a spectacular ride far above the city. 4-person cabins lift you gently up to 1500 feet above sea level for stunning 360° views extending over Pegasus Bay and the Pacific Ocean to Kaikoura; over Banks Peninsula, Lake Ellesmere and Lyttleton Harbour, and across the Canterbury Plains to the Southern Alps.
