I didn't know that we Canadians HAD a specific accent...xD
That was almost perfect. You could just barely hear the rolling of your Rs and the A in accent sounded a bit more Scottish.
sounds perfect! :D
that was pretty close, you could still hear the "r's" and the "o's"
you forgot eh? *braces for down thumbs*
: Visit the east coast and you'll hear a HUGE difference in the accents of US vs Canadians. I grew up on the east coast and now live in the MidWest (near the Canadian border). I cringe when I hear the old familiar accent of my home region. I recognize it, but it sounds so strange to my ear now.
Your brogue snuck in a few times but overall great job. :p
Not bad, a little forced and your voice sounds comically high, but then again I would probably sound the same if I tried to do a Scottish accent (I'm Canadian by the way). I guess the biggest note I have is to relax your voice a little. That's really the only thing that stood out as odd.
And Hugh Laurie
I was gna rip on you for not being able to do Yank accents but that's actually not bad :O
Right up there with David Tennant, Gerard Butler and John Barrowman.
You suddenly sound like a 15 year old american haha. But, it's VERY good.
American more than Canadian.
"Mole! Bloody mole! We're not supposed to talk about the bloody mole, but there's the bloody mole winking me in the face. I'm gonna chop it off and cut it up and make some guacaMOLE!"-Austin Powers. Thats all i have to say o_o
thought it sounded pretty good, but more Californian than Canadian but wow that was really good
WIREÞ!
YOU TALK PERFECTLY WITH THE ACCENT! AMAZING :)
Actually, I was very impressed at how many Germans learned the "th".
well if i'd speak to a canadian i would maybe recognize the accent but i don't hear the difference in this video. i hope that when you were in germany you didnt' meet too many people speaking the typical "german-english". you know, instead of "they think" many germans say "sey sink" because they can't say the "th".
It's odd when you compare the accents ;) He doesn't sound normal to me, but I'm from Alberta. I have lots of friends in Ontario and their accent sounds different to me..
haha I am Canadian and lived in Germany for 4 months. Most of the native Germans I met recognized my accent right away. Ask a Canadian to say "sorry" ;) You'll hear it. And no, we don't say aboot, but after being away from Canada so long, when I came back, I noticed that to Americans we do sound very VERY close to aboot. At least where I'm from.
i (as a german) can't hear ANY difference between american and canadian accent...
not bad , not bad at all
You'd pass for Canadian. Although a mounty uniform would seal the deal. And be sure to mention the Kanucks. Also mix in a few "aboots" and "ehs" and you'll be golden.... Aaahh stereotypes. They just never get old.
Yeah so Canadians sound American but with a faint twinge of Midwestern cheesiness... Like Fargo only way toned down. The vowels are sort of tighter... ;)
hehe good job but you sound more American to me :P
