13. that last crash where the plane hit the "welcome to New York" sign had so much wrong with it. why weren't their seatbelts on? why did that guy have a laptop out? why did the other guy have ... whatever he had out. during take off or landing you're not allowed to have any of that out and your seatbelt should be on. am i just not understanding that last crash?

24. There has to be a new kind of evolution to new tech to make a low energy cost engine that doesn't use blades or fuel. Wont know what works till somebody tries it.
25. you can't make engines without spinning blades that you can expect to start on the ground. The blades are to create the static pressure needed to ignite the fuel and get the plane moving. An engine without blades would be something like a ramjet, which needs to be moving extremely fast to work. Otherwise you'd need pressurized oxidizer along with the fuel--more than doubling the fuel mass--and then you'd just have a rocket engine. Machine guns would be sweet though.

Each year Copenhagen Airport is bothered by several hundred birdstrikes. The discussion about birdstrikes takes place behind closed doors, in order to avoid scaring people away from flying. Den Danske stat kan forvente erstatning i milliardklassen, hvis et fly styrter ned på grund af fugle, fordi staten har udbygget mange fugleområder for tæt på lufthavnen i strid med ICAO luftfarts bestemmelser. Hvert år plages Copenhagen airport af flere hundrede birdstrike. Diskussionen omkring birdstrike foregår bag lukkede døre, for ikke at gøre folk bange for at flyve.
