I miss home... so much.
I think Auckland is on my bucket list.
I'm going to New Zealand in September this year. I'm a little worried about their english pronunciation, I'm chilean and speak spanish.
dinosaurs in New Zealand is not odd at all as it was not an island when dinosaurs existed
@MoonOvIce
I think of South American countries as culture rich, warm welcoming people, but also high crime rates, and extreme crimes like kidnappings and getting killing during simple robberies, and corrupt police forces that don't properly crack down on crime, often assigning blame somehow (Mexican police has done this frequently to Canadians for instance), etc.
I may be wrong, and it's a shame, because I would *love* to explore South America for culture, food, nature, people, weather, etc.
@a1mint That's nothing, try to search for stuff about Uruguay...my country never gets mentioned just because it is small...
When I lived in the US most people didn't even know it existed and when I told them it's in south america most of them pretty thought that we probably lived and hadn't discovered the wheel yet as most Americans who think most latin america is like that or something...
Hi everyone, I keep hearing from a lot of people that New Zealand can be kind of boring but that Auckland is the best city to live (the city with the most "movement" I guess) in NZ...
Take in mind that I'm 22 years old and that I don't really like theather (which I hear there's a lot of there)...I have the opportunity to get a work permit with eventual residence and even a place to live at first in NZ so I wanted to know...
Alot of really nice old buildings in Auckland City got bowled in the 1990s.
Auckland was used as a base for the americans in world war 2,avondale college was a hospital and one tree hill was a base filled with tents. The island next to ragitoto island was a base for new zealand soilders and in world war 1 they took a famous prisoner count felix (a german submarine captain)
visited the city 2 yrs back. I am surely coming to this country for few months to stay with my wife when I retire
@forkmanify HAHAHA try minus 40 here.
