I love that country. I was there last spring break and it was amazing. i would rather live there than here in the U.S. not that theres anything wrong with the U.S.
There's Nothing in Australia
- Not only di I love Daddy Cool, I produced and directed the DVD box set called The Complete Daddy Cool a few years back, including the reunion concert at the Myer Music Bowl, a 100 minute documentary film and a huge collection of every film clip and tv appearance we could get our hands on, over 5 hours of great DC material in one DVD package. And I turn 58 next month.

May I be permitted to add, having perused your Favourites LIst - we DO in fact have at leat ONE THING in common - which is a liking for Daddy Cool music. I note that you & I are almost the same age (I turm 57 in 2 months - i.e that we both were born at the right time, in probably upbringngs which were at least similar .. even if vaguely so)

- Completely disagee with this comment. The campaign is a good one, but the trick will be getting people engaged, getting the word out. We are all proud of our country and would be happy to upload some images of our patch if given the chance. Sorry, you're just wrong. The presenting skills of the CEO have nothing to do with the value of the idea.

This guy .. the Head of Tourism Australia .. seems a dreary, half-baked public-service hack. Sorry. And by the same token, too - Medialink seems to have failed in their attempt at this latest ad grab-bag. It just doesn't cut it, I'm afraid. Maybe a bit of intense, focused start-out RESEARCH would've helped. Like, WHO'S the target-market; WHAT do we want to say & show about Oz etc; fundamental due-process stuff like that. Go back to the drawing-board & start again, folks. Must do better !!
