Great explanation! I always have problems with the syllabic "n" and "l" which accur after the alveolar "t" and "d", as in cotton. But what about the syllabic "l"? I`d love to see your explanation as to pronounce words like bottle, little and cattle. Thanks for your brilliant class.
This is useful, but I don't like US (say "american" is very pretentious) accent. I like more the sound of british accent, because sound more formal. I'm peruvian.
BTW: You are a very good teacher.
Sometimes I wonder how we sound to Europeans and Asians and others....
Im american and i didnt even notice that the N sound from cotton and mountain etc. comes from our nose instead of our mouth!!!!!! Mind blown :)
Urggggg I can'ttttt
Im American and didnt even realize I have an accent! I guess thats how other people see it lol
Thank you for an interesting lesson, I'm Australian starting to learn the American dialect. I found this lesson helpful, very clear and easy compared to a lot of other teachers. Hope to learn more from you.
I never paid attention to my accent before (american- midwestern more specifically) but after seeing this video I've paid closer attention. I didn't realize how difficult it could be to non native american english speakers. Its interesting stuff.

As a native American-English speaker, I can see how this video would be very helpful to those who are not.
This is very helpful. I think I'm going to buy your book.

Amazing! I think i would never figure this out by my self! Thanks for such a Great Lesson! \o
WHOA!!.... I never realized i have an accent xD!... I was honestly offended at the beginning of the video, cause i thought that i used the first pronunciation that was shown.... Then i said "cotton" to myself without overly trying to pronounce it, and realized that she's totally right...! Haha xD
