5. Your diagram you use to illustrate this concept illustrates a "Half Cycle", which is typical with all diodes when used alone. But this can easily be overcome by utilizing a simple arrangement called a "Full Bridge". In other words utilizing four diodes, arranged so that BOTH sides of the voltage end up in the same direction, and thereby BOOSTING the RMS, or effective voltage. I would like to know MORE about how are thinking of harnessing the ambient waves in the atmosphere ... ie. fine tuning.
6. I used AA's as an example as that is the specific image AlienScientist used to illustrate the comparison in energy potential. The technology AlienScientist is demonstrating does not output energy on the same level as a lead-acid battery, the benefit of this tech is that it's a generator, not a battery, and thus can be compared to solar tech in that it provides power for almost minimal relative cost.

14. yeah batteries is a problem, But on selected areas where you can use the energy instantly, could be where it could be an idea to implement this. Could be as a light source, heat on remote areas. 17. in support of what you're saying... just exactly how many alkaline batteries would it take to supply all of the power a normal household would need?? Do ya think they'd all fit IN the house, or would there need to be an out building (a barn perhaps)??? :-)
18. Hmmm, Maybe. What happens when the storage medium reaches "equilibrium". You'll have to have diodes to keep the batteries (or what ever) from leaking voltage back into the air (say on a humid day). I'm not trying to squash you're ideas, I'm just looking at the practical side of it. Personally I think the crank generator on flotation devices is a better approach, but it has the problem of storage... same as yours!!

Hmmm, Let's see... for EVERY freq, of 1/10of a cycle there'd have to be a seperate antenna to receive it (assuming @ resonance). there are currently around 10,000,000,000 individual cycles that we can attend to, so 10G x 10 = 100G differentiated antennas + their diodes. even a 1n214is a couple of cents each. add to that each length of wire from DC to 10GHz and you'll have a staggering INITIAL cost. Even if the wire was 1/1000ths inch in diameter the cost in property would be daunting. Possible?
