23. To be honest, most comedians have a load of jokes and stories which form the basis of virtually all their stand-up. They all have certain jokes and stories that they tell repeatedly. These are probably jokes and stories that they've told at past gigs and were received particularly well, ones they can fall back on if the routine hits a tough spot, or to start a routine. Ones they KNOW will get a laugh.
