In a crosswind landing he made one of the biggest mistakes, He did not transfer from "Crab" (Plane flying "sideways" into the wind) to the straight (Plane straightens out, but rudder is keeping it straight so that its not rolled by crosswinds). If you fly a crosswind approach in Crab, you have to transition to straight right before flare, otherwise you run the risk of stripping tires, breaking gears and tilting (& possibly flipping) the plane! He messed up big time!
