1. You don't have to be older to like older shows. Classics like Mama's Family appeal to all ages.

14. Wasn't it Betty White's character that choked to death on a toothpick? I cannot remember. I know one of her daughter's did. Such an odd death. Then again, it was a sitcom. And, was it just me or did Mama remind anyone else of Dana Carvey's "Church Lady"?
15. This intro was the best with all characters specifically. It was the best with the whole damn family there. Although Iola is my favourite character, I was disappointed that they only had 4 characters in the later part of the show.

17. - Many kids believed Bea Arthur was a man...I know I did at one time!!! :-) As for this show, I never watched it but I do remember when it was on TBS, and later Ion, and this intro has always been burned on my consciousness. The theme song is very catchy though!
