That's an interesting thought! It's really hard to do an American accent, yet an English accent to me is just normal...
I think the main differences are the way you tend to pronounce 'o' as a long 'aaa' sound, and 'a' as an 'eee' sound, and also you pronounce the letter 'r' when we don't pronounce it (in 'girl', 'mother', 'morning' we don't pronounce the 'r' at all).
my mind always says stuff like that in his voice
Wow... Did his voice go deeper with the accent?
me gusta
stay with the britsh voice please
Yeah, but you could put a Cockney washer-woman next to Craig Ferguson and he'd make her sound like an American.
This is so awesome, I'm not sure if anyone else here (of course all of you have :D ) seen the new trailer for the next season of Doctor Who but at one point an American says "The only one who isn't an American drop your weapon" at Amy while the Doctor is shown in the scene clearly holding a pistol. This, in addition to his wonderful American accent has lead me to speculate that The Doctor may use an American accent in the next season, which is exciting.

Oh My God so sexy
Maybe Matt Smith should delibrately talk in he's american accent when playing the Doctor in Doctor Who?
His American accent is better than mine, and I'm American.
I think my heart just broke a bit because this man is across an ocean from me.
He sounds like John Barrowman when he says 'y'know'. Sounds pretty good!
That's probably just you...
The American accent is like a blank slate. Any accent can be mimicked.
His American accent is cool. Just like bow ties.
How to tell someone has or is doing an American accent when you're American: you don't hear any accent. :)
...ahhh that was cute...like him :)
I'm an American, more specifically a North American, more specifically a United States citizen, more specifically - well, you get my point.
omg thats amazing it hardly even sounds like him!!!!!!
That was very good, actually
Okay, I'm sure it's like this with every accent, but it's so weird to me to think about what people from other countries have to do to mimic an American accent. You know, because I've lived here my whole life and to me, I don't hear any accent at all. I'm sure it's probably just like how Americans try to mimic British accents but it's still so strange to me.
