Hi Hank, my dad didn't actually play an instrument so he isn't on any Big Al tracks. But guitarist Vernon Sandusky is all over the early Big Al tracks as well as all of the Poe Kats tracks.
Thanks Hank! My dad didn't play an instrument, so he's not on Big Al's tracks, but of course Big Al is on the Poe Kats' tracks and the Bobby Brant track. Good to find you and you did a fantastic job on this track!
Hi Bobby! So very nice to have met you here! I really dug your Dad's offerings on Phil Ladd's White Rock label and I knew that he recorded both under his real name and as Bobby Brant! Wasn't he playing on 'Big' Al Downing's tracks too?? I used to correspond with Phil Ladd and he sent me a bunch of White Rock 45's and I really dug "Piano Nellie" a lot, that's why I recorded it (and as usual I play all instruments on it, handle the vocal, production and sound engineering bit).

My dad would have loved this! He was Bobby Poe, who wrote the original and recorded it under the name Bobby Brant.
Well Ive Always loved Piano Nellie but your just taking over the whole Rock ' n' Roll world and I love IT. keep on rockin" your the man.
HA, HA!! You can't get over the Sleepy 'syndrom', can ya?! Perhaps you ought to send one of my 'epos' over to the man himself and let HIM decide, that I'm sure would be fun! Or read my info for starters and get the down right truth from there! Keep it up, mate!! Hank C...
Who sings this? Sleepy or you?

Yeah, Tuks, love that doghouse bass. Definitely can't keep from dancing to this gem.
Hiya Rick! And thanks for the kind comment! I've recorded several different versions of "Rakin' & Scrapin'", give me a clue which one you mean (record label will do)? And I've also got several re-mixes of "Stingy"! Thanks for using it, by the way! Stay cool, fella & Rock On!! Hank C.
Hiya Tuks! Hope the weekend turned out OK & that the Mafia behaved (?) & didn't scratch around too much (the wild bunch, lol!). Thatta girl..up the volume..let the entire neighborhood know there's a party goin' on! I've got an even wilder (and older!) version of this one in the comp, may upload it, if I dare to. Stay safe & scratch awhile! Hugs...Hank C.
This is wicked;rock music;you even get to have a computer
lesson while listening.Love this one Hank.Go on;up the
volume!! Louder!!
I used to have this on a cassette, although a much less "fancy" version, without any guitar solos. I think it was ripped from an album called "Big Hot New Music" or something like that. Was a favorite when i was younger, and still is!
Thanks you claw sharp scratchy adorable 'bunch'! Tell Tuks that Hank ordered a pile of extra treats for you! Scratch on & a bear hug to boot, Hank C...
Happy birthday Rocker..

Jive on, Tuks & let that 'DOGHOUSE BASS' (my description of an acoustic up-right bass!) lead the way, but don't tell the scratch cat maffia..sssh!! Today is cake party time (huh?), my oh my, doesn't time just fly by..and Xmas just around the corner..with a New Year as a handy close-up..gosh, I get tired just thinkin' about it, sigh!
