3. Pretty poor simulator, and terrible 'pilot'. If you haven't put down in the first third of this runway, you have no hope of stopping. Even a 737 has difficulty stopping by the point you got the nose down. The landscape and the length of the runway are also entirely inaccurate. 747 SP's were landed in the late 70s and early 80s before Qantas gave up on them. You can also land a 777 at WLG. It was done in 2010 as a demonstration.

I also was wondering how a A380 could take off from WLG ...... due to the 90's a UA 747 -100 from LA was diverted from AKL to CHC, insufficient fuel meant it had to land in WLG and had to be stripped down to get it out of there after I think a couple of weeks ..... correct me if I am wrong ...... also was present at the first CO all female flight crew from LAX to AKL yaye .... during that time
8. I like this; it was done once upon-a-time on B747s, but not possible on A380s. The landscape is completely un-Wellington, though. The only part accurate is the rough shape of the landmass/coastlines. There are no houses or trees anywhere near the runway perimeter! Nevertheless, it was interesting. Thanks.

12. My reaction - that's not Wellington! Then I realised it's a sim. To make it more realistic, cut the runway in half and add a 60kph crosswind.
13. Sorry but that's not even vaguely close to Wellington Airport in most of those graphics. i'd give the person who designed the graphics about 1.5 out of 10 and they only scored that high because they managed to get an image on screen. This clip is straight out rubbish.
