8. Actually they did some pretty cool stuff to the 4s. Siri probably took a while to do. If you have an iphone 4 it doesn't mean you need an 4s. They fix a lot of bugs and make adjustments but mainly they don't work too much on the smaller updates. They are just there so people don's get mad over bugs and they can keep up with other phones.
