1. That was an earthquake strengthened buiilding you see falling down in this clip. My friend, Debbie, was working in it at the time. You can see her at the top of the screen emerging from the building and climbing over the rubble at 2:42, go behind the blue Range Rover to make a phone call then leave the screen to the right at 3:45. She came out through the door the guy was sheltering in and reckons he must have been hit by debris because it was partially blocked by fallen bricks.

3. wow....this is very good footage....These are of course disasters..but the footage that comes out of them are great data on how to build..and how people help in such situations...
4. @abundancebomb. i think it would depend where i am in the building and how old it was. i know someone who made the decision to run.. and the man behind her didnt and he died.
5. was a lot longer than 2 seconds was between bout 37 seconds. just doesnt look like it from video as it was a real jolt to start with then the ground started shaking. was very scary

10. I tried to tell you after the September earthquake and I'll try and tell you again, DON'T RUN OUTSIDE!!! Please!!!! Even if the building is collapsing, get under a desk, DO NOT RUN OUTSIDE. A beautiful guy I knew was killed right beside me because he ran outside and the shop frontage crushed him, and now the world is missing out.

17. Its so touching how the two young guys first impulse is to protect the older gentlemen. Though I'm sure he could look after himself, it's still awesome. Nice one guys. Even more so that they all run off to help with out a second thought.
