2. Not yet unfortunately. The Christchurch earthquake kind of put a spanner in the works. Though on my way back home as we speak.  Albiet a little slower than planned and taking a detour via the sub continent, middle east and africa. The long way home I guess.

11. Too many Pommies, South Africans and Chinese in Auckland for my liking. Apparently the place is going to be flooded with Indians soon... no concept of NZ history or culture and dont want to know - just too happy to be away from their respective shit holes with their stash of money - spoiled kids who get everything paid for

ALSO...I'm prior service (Army) and I have experience in logistics/shipping, construction, and security; I am retired at 26 years old and receive a fixed monthly income-enough to afford to live on, I'm single and have no dependents or health issues; I have 2 years of college under my belt but unfortunately I don't have a completed education and no certifications, degrees or diplomas to help me get in any professional position (that I know of).
14. I'm trying to immigrate to NZ from the US. I'm running into the problem of being able to find a decent job there. I will do just about anything, literally anything, but form what I gather no one will hire me unless I'm a resident/have a visa and I can't get residency/visa unless I have been hired. Does anyone know where/how I can get a company to sponsor me and give me a job?

16. @JohnfromPerth whatt??immigration is what creates culture and societies.NZ did not even have a culture before the Maoris arrive from the pacific islands.After that came the mass migration from europe that created more culture,and now with immigrants from more countries more culture.And remember the Maoris were a mojority before european colonisation.I think youre a racist who thinks it's ok for europeans to have mass migration but not others.
